Get it in Whenever You Can (30 + Fearless Part 2)
Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!
I finally got some time to rest my muscles and my mind. 3 days of relaxing and enjoying a laid back few days with the family was exactly what I needed.
Even though the holiday was Monday, I enjoyed a cook out Sunday night. Delicious burgers, chips with dip, and so much more. The evening was wrapped up with a dessert that I happily consumed and a fire pit. I felt fall was coming and couldn't help but smile.
Today, however, brings another tune. Apparently when it rain, it pours is a saying for a reason. The help I needed for my daughter canceled, we were short staffed, and my fiance is extremely sick. All in all, it has been a hair pulling out type of day. Thank goodness I was able to figure things out. Making sure the first thing I was able to do was to take my love to the hospital. All of this made me realize something, we are all busy. All have those hectic lives that no one
can control. People get sick, you get sick, kids have games and unexpected projects, things get broken, flat tires happen, in-laws show up and dinner is a must, sometimes you just can't get that schedule in order. This can be a day, a week, or even up to a month. This my darlings is adulthood. We never really got the pamphlet of what to expect.
Even though you will tell yourself internally that you are making excuses and so many others are able to still fit things in, you aren't them. Heck, I'm not them. Everyone has a certain workload that is their maximum capacity. What do we do about this? Well, I'm going to tell you my secret. I'm not one who is immune to grabbing whatever I can when times get a little bit crazy. That couch can be calling your name after being on the go for 12 hours. Can't you find the time for that workout? Even to get a little movement in.
My secret: I get it in whenever and wherever I can.
Example: I will be at work, waiting for a doctor, filling out paperwork, etc and I will start doing squats or lunges. I will do random moves while I'm working to get in a little bit of exercise. Even if it isn't lifting heavy weight, running for 30 minutes, or routines you tend to do, getting that in is what matters.
The point of this installment is that you might find yourself stuck in the eye of the storm but there are little things you can do to keep that exercise going. Stability work is one that is easy to do in basically any area.
That takes so many muscles and concentration. Not only does it help with balance but since it is a unilateral exercise, your whole body evens out. If you are left side dominate, this will help correct that. If you know about any rough training regimes like our badass ladies have, then you know you need your body to be equal.
Keep it up, ladies! Don't let any setbacks get you down. You got this.
