30 + Fearless Part 3: Hitting A Wall, But Not Giving Up

Hello all!! This past week has been a little different. Busting my booty but have been less than enthusiastic about it. We all hit that wall every once in awhile and this was definitely mine.

I haven't been sleeping well and my food intake is too low for the type of workouts I tortue myself with. I think this has been the way my body is saying "F you. Stop being stupid." So I did what everyone should do if your body is saying no more...REST. I rested an extra day but let me tell you, my weekend was not just laying on the couch. Busting down a shelf that was cluttering up the garage, running around picking up new goodies for the home gym, and getting our road bikes tuned up so we can start cycling. Needless to say I was having very active rest
days. 


As we all have seen, these athletes go round after round trying to take each other out. By the last round, they are pretty spent. But they have to keep that momentum going through each round in order to keep up. This is done by having great stamina. So what is a way to work on that? High intensity circuit training and cardio. Have you ever seen people sprinting with a parachute strapped on their back? Well, that seemed like a good idea. Then we actually
did it.

First, it wouldn't work well. The chute wouldn't pick up wind so it dragged behind me. We tried several times until we agreed to go to a park and try it out. It finally roughly worked. Still giving a good resistance as you tried to power through that distance. Once again, I was humbled. Cardio and I do not have a good relationship. 

None the less, I pushed through every evening. Giving all I could during those workouts. I'm taking on this week with new determination and a reminder that I need food for that energy. We shall see what these days bring me.

More intensity and more calories. That's the goal.
