Jennifer Lopez Works Out This Many Hours Per Day

When you think of celebrity fitness goals, J.Lo is probably one of the images that first comes to mind. After all, she’s 49 years old but somehow looks younger than she did in her 30’s. Killer abs, killer ass, and a killer attitude to match: she’s total #fitness and #life goals, I think we can all agree.

If you’ve ever thought to yourself “I would be in that great of shape too, if I had hours to hit the gym everyday!” Well, her job may require her to look the part at all times, she has a fairly normal fitness regime.

Would you be surprised if I told you that Jenny from the Block only does an hour of cardio a day? Well, you don’t have to take my word for it- Pure Gym recently shared Jennifer Lopez’s workout routine, which features an hour of cardio in the morning from 7-8 am, followed by a yoga, prayer, or meditation session.

As you can see from the above infographic, Pure Gym not only gave you a glimpse into a day in the life of Jennifer Lopez, but also many other A-list celebs and athletes. It’s interesting to compare how some of our favorite stars spend their time and keep themselves in shape.

1. Plenty of Sleep

The average of all of these celebrities nightly sleep time comes out to 6.9 hours. Although, this may not seem impressive at first glance, a few brought down the average of the group, as the only people reporting getting under 7 hours of shut-eye were Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Jennifer Aniston.

2. Chill Time

Everyone reported having at least one hour per day dedicated to relaxing. It goes to show, rest is an integral part of success and can actually result in MORE productivity, instead of less. Science also agrees with this, as taking breaks has been shown to boost output.

3. Weight Lifting is the Most Common Workout

The most common form of fitness was weight training, as 7 of the 9 celebrities interviewed here reported partaking in lifting. It makes sense, since weight training has been shown to both increase strength and endurance, which cardio-only workouts can’t match.

4. Work Hard, Play Hard

Contrary to popular belief, celebrities actually do work, as everyone reported doing day-job duties during the day and most for a period that would be on-par to a 9-5er.
